Step into this high-end retailer of shoes and handbags and you could be entering a European five-star hotel lobby or a Paris couturier. Drawing inspiration from these sources, Waller has used plush furnishings within a classically elegant black and white palette. It is in two distinct spaces – the main retail area at the front and an exclusive panelled lounge to the rear, complete with bar and kitchenette, for private viewings and entertaining clients. The two can be separated by closing fully automated curtains. Meanwhile, a structural column bisects the main store, but Waller has preserved sightlines between the two spaces and ensured the design language remains consistent – each alluringly boasts a round leather banquette and Murano crystal chandelier.
