Darlinghurst Apartment
The refurbishment of this classic Brownstone-style apartment, circa 1911, involved the extensive reworking of the interior floor plan. The objective was to open up the disjointed reception area into a flowing space, while retaining separate and private living areas. A modern, minimalist aesthetic was adopted using a monochromatic palette. Stripped timber floors and architraves, detailed with dark timber joinery, contrast the crisp white walls forming a framework for the client’s eclectic Asian art collection.
Work list: rework floor plan, kitchen and bathroom layout and equipment specification, bespoke joinery, lighting, finishes, furniture specification, decorative and artwork consultation, soft furnishings and curtains
