The seating collection explores the relationship between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary furniture design. Inspired by visits to specialist furniture workshops in Vietnam, the collection draws on established craft traditions, with woven rattan and natural grass applied over a rattan-wrapped steel frame by skilled local artisans.

The original bamboo prototype was featured in Design Quarterly (DQ) Magazine, recognising its contemporary interpretation of traditional craft and considered use of natural, sustainable materials. The collection has since been refined and expanded, preserving the integrity of the original design while introducing precision-crafted stainless steel frames for outdoor use, hand-finished with braided and woven coverings in a palette of solution-dyed fibres.

Defined by sculptural simplicity and refined detailing, the collection reflects a considered balance of heritage craft and contemporary design, expressed through honest materials and carefully resolved construction
