Torri Console
Australian-made and designed for a client recently returned from living in Japan, the Torii console draws on the quiet symbolism and refined geometry of the traditional Japanese gate found at the entrance to Shinto shrines. Crafted in Australian Blackbutt hardwood, its slender lines and balanced proportions reference the iconic torii — a threshold between the everyday and the sacred. Positioned beside the home entry, the piece is defined by restraint, warmth and precise detailing, bringing a sense of calm ritual and sculptural presence to the interior.
